Tony Vaccaro is a New York native and entrepreneur whose passion for great pizza and sustainable living has made a lasting impact on Tucson, Arizona. He founded Brooklyn Pizza Company in 1996 while attending graduate school at the University of Arizona, drawing inspiration from his grandfather’s pizzeria in 1970s Canarsie, Brooklyn. What began as a tribute to family tradition quickly grew into a local institution – known not only for its authentic New York-style pies but also for leading the charge in green innovation.

Brooklyn Pizza Company became the first pizzeria in southern Arizona to run entirely on solar power, a milestone that reflects Tony’s deep commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices. From the dough to the energy that bakes it, everything is done with care and purpose.

Right next door, Tony opened Sky Bar, a one-of-a-kind solar-powered café by day and astronomy-themed bar by night. Along with stargazing events, and telescopes for public use, guests can also enjoy the full Brooklyn Pizza Company menu.

His vision doesn’t stop at food. Through Fourth Avenue Yoga, Tony has created a welcoming space for mindfulness and movement, further enriching the Tucson community. As Ambassador for PizzaMaster Ovens, Tony brings decades of hands-on experience, creativity, and a forward-thinking spirit to our global network.
